i just got to 8 months clean from all substances i developed a bad problem with painkillers and occasional cocaine use also smoked weed heavily daily and drank occcasionally… although wat i have learned about recovery tells me that the way to stay clean is to abstain from ALL mood and mind altering substances including weed and alcohol I really would like to be able to drink/smoke again since the harder drugs were my real problem. i would like to hear from anyone who can relate if they have gone through this or what their opinions are.

i am a recovering/recovered(i don’t consider myself fully recovered because i am always tempted) heroin addict, and for a long time i didn’t drink i didn’t smoke or anything like that. but now i smoke weed, i drink and take hallucinogens. and it does bring the temptation to relapse, and it keeps me involved in the world of drugs. but in the end it is all about will power, i have been clean off heroin for about 2 years, and i started with the softer drugs again a few months ago.
