Can we cure the economy with this idea?

(US economy in particular)

Why not make more drugs legal? All of them?
Government alright makes a fair amount from tobacco taxation. I am aware that tobacco arguably causes a greater monetary loss in smokers’ medical expenses, but I believe other drugs have the potential to seriously help the economy (if the tax income is used correctly by the government). Bottom of the line is, I feel like this would pour money into the economy and stimulate wonderfully.
I know many people are against drugs and that’s fine – don’t use them. But if you don’t like people who do drugs then let the legalization weed out people who abuse these drugs to death. I know this sounds harsh and maybe unacceptable to a mainstream audience, but it would be the most direct way to eradicate society of destructive behavior – destruction in any form is generally a bad thing, taking away from productivity. Of course, I would still highly promote the idea of restricting these drugs, some more restricted that others. Heroin and Crystal Meth, I propose to keep highly restricted (such as for medical use only. People who are terminal or in great pain). Basically any high potential addiction/destruction drug because I believe these aren’t entirely fair; with such drugs it would be hard for most people to not develop an unhealthy addiction. But with marijuana, alcohol, mushrooms, ecstasy, even cocaine, most people have the self-control to not use destructively. We need to spend a little money on cleaning up the homeless. Put them all in some sort of housing. Educate them, let them evolve (of course I speaking of homeless people who are homeless because they don’t have the intellectual means. In a word, “breed” our society to our liking: a higher, more productive overall attitude and lifestyle. Everyone should have something to offer to society, in whatever way they do best.

This is more of a long term goal. However, the decriminalization of drugs would have a much more acute economic effect. Money = Stimulation. Most of us dislike the effects of money in bad times, so PLEASE government, be good boys and use the product wisely. Help us pay for our homes or create clever, useful jobs. Do something in the best interest of everyone! The States are way to huge to have a federal government or state government, making huge restrictive decisions for the entire population (drugs!). No more group exclusive benefit! We need rights for the individual WITHIN a group, society at large, to be the focus, not have the individuals in one activist group be benefiting over others.

Moderate consumption of alcohol is fine. But when the consumption of alcohol increases to the point when an individual faces problems owing to alcohol is an abuse. It is also important to know that alcohol abuse is different from alcohol dependency. Alcohol abuse is more a state of mind. The person lets alcohol affect his thinking and perceptions. The nervous system is affected by too much of alcohol and thus affecting the functioning of brain. This has a direct impact on your judgements, your work or studies. One loses its co ordination and hence tends to get aggressive. This sometimes also risks violent behaviour and fights. Thus one can say that alcohol abuses your brain.

However the alcohol abused brain works differently in teens and seniors. In Virginia the reasons, the complications, the consequences or even the remedies differ from those of seniors. Hence the treatment programs for teens differ greatly from the programs for the seniors. That is one of the most important things one needs to remember while selecting a treatment facility for the patient. span style=”font-size: 12pt; font-family: “Times New Roman”;”>Alcohol addiction never let go of anyone who are unfortunate enough to get into it. A casual drinking routine can become a fearful regime if one is not careful enough. However, most of us resort to excessive drinking more as a means to escape from pressure than for pleasure. A limited intake is not much harmful, but regular and prolonged excessive intake is harmful not only for the alcoholic, but for others around him too.

Once the habit sticks, it is very difficult to shake it off. That is why alcohol rehab centers have become very important hubs in our fight against alcoholism. Alcohol rehab is a procedure that can be managed only by people who have the requisite infrastructure and expertise. Alcoholism cannot be approached as a common disease. Here, the mind and body needs to be treated simultaneously. Physicians and psychologists have to work in tandem to ensure that the patient is cured and is fit to lead a normal life.

Before drinking a glass of alcohol have you ever told yourself that nothing can possibly go wrong with just one drink? Your answer is probably a yes. Alcohol is the number one drug of choice for teenagers. Most kids don’t realize how drinking of alcohol can affect them. 1 drink can lead to many others, and maybe even addiction. Alcohol has many affects to your life and body. For example, it can cause you to drink and drive, get diseases, and maybe even get in trouble with the law. The consequences may lead you to a disastrous future.
One of the consequences for drinking is drinking and driving, which can lead to a life threatening accident. Many teenagers and adults don’t keep track of how much alcohol they consume, or how long it will take to were off. Many people make regretful choices when they are drunk. Studies show that about one in five drivers under the age 21 reported driving under the influence of alcohol. Alcohol loosens your inhabitations; you will most likely start to see double, it causes a slur in your speech, and you lose your sense of distance. As a result, many people get in accidents because they cannot concentrate on the road and it gets hard for them to follow or even see the street lights. In addition, when you are driving drunk you are not only causing harm to yourself but others on the road as well.
Another consequence for drinking is the chance of getting a disease. Drinking alcohol is not only dangerous for the few hours that you are drunk but alcohol can do long term damage to your body. By drinking too much alcohol on a regular basis many people can get diseases that are easy to get but really hard to cure. For example, alcohol can have far-reaching effects on different parts of the brain and muscles, with symptoms of memory loss, in coordination, seizures, weakness, and sensory deficits. Also, if an individual consumes too much alcohol, and the liver cannot break it down, that person will probably gets alcohol poisoning which many people die from. Becoming aware of the diseases that alcohol causes makes you think before you drink.
Alcoholism is a problem that many people have to deal with.
Alcoholism has effected people for a long time, but more recently been addressed as a physical problem as well as a mental.
Alcoholism is chronic illness characterized by the regular consumption of alcohol to a degree that interferes with physical or mental health, or with normal social or occupational behavior. A widespread health problem, it produces both physical and psychological addiction. Alcohol is a central nervous system depressant that reduces anxiety, inhibition, and feelings of guilt; lowers alertness so it will cause you to react differently towards a situation for example.. Walking around naked in the middle of a street while drink you wouldn’t think about the consequences. Alcohol can severely damage your heart, brain, esophagus, joints and muscles, liver, kidney and the list can go on and on.
Most families have problems with one of their family members drinking and such, drinking can seriously damage your relationship with your loved ones, as drinking alcohol effects the way you think and lets you do things you don’t really mean to do.
Another problem about drinking alcohol is addiction which can lead to debts, as you waste money on alcohol on a daily basis you will realize that the money you are using to get alcohol is hindering your life goals, also when addiction level is reached you will surely want more and do whatever it takes to get more alcohol, so either steal the money or taking loans from people which will almost certainly lead to debts. Your life will crumble little by little as you drink.
Alcohol is a drug, and it is the drug most abused by teens. Many kids have their first drink at an early age, as young as 10 or 11 or even younger. It’s easy for kids to get the wrong message about alcohol. They might see their parents drink, or watch TV commercials that make drinking look like a lot of fun. You might see people drinking and watching sports together or having a big party. So most likely when you see a parent whatsoever drinking around his/her child, you should easily know that the child will when they grow up will drink too because they see the parent drinking, so they interpret that its okay to drink. The major factor is that you’re not only destroying your life, your harming yours along with many people you love and care about.
Some mothers drink while they are pregnant, there are many illnesses that might occur to the infant in that case. If you drink heavily when your pregnant your child will run the risk of developing many behavioral problems. Teens whose mothers drank while they were pregnant are more likely to abuse alcohol

Alcohol Treatment – The 12 Step Program

The 12 Step program for the treatment of alcohol addiction was first introduced in the book The Alcoholics Anonymous in the year 1939, the gospel of the now-worldwide organization Alcoholics Anonymous. This program was made so as to cure people from alcohol addiction and bring them back to lead a healthy life.

The Alcoholics Anonymous made this program so as to make it possible for people who are dependent on alcohol to kick this habit in just twelve steps, and hence the name. This program became an instant hit and is till date one of the most popular ways for treating alcohol addiction. Many people have benefited from this program. Even other organizations such as the Cocaine Anonymous and the Narcotics Anonymous have adopted this program.

Long Lasting Successes Claimed by Proponents of Unconventional Drug and Alcohol Treatment

The aim of conventional or unconventional drug and alcohol treatment is to ensure that the addict is off his or her substance of abuse permanently. The success of any method is largely dependant on the cooperation and will power of the person. While most conventional methods are based on the traditional twelve step program propagated by the Alcoholics Anonymous, every unconventional drug and alcohol treatment practitioner regards the former as a short term measure. These experts believe that the methods followed by Alcoholics Anonymous are based more on a way of life that the patient has to adhere to, rather than a complete cure.

Whatever the people behind these unconventional drug and alcohol treatment programs have to say, most conventional rehab centers do follow the twelve step method, along with physical and psychological support. These centers are run under medical supervision, and employ certified specialists and personnel. They are usually residential and heal the body, mind, and spirit under treatment. While their methods are well known and documented, those used by unconventional drug and alcohol treatment centers are not. Hence many of them raise alarm bells in the minds of doctors.
