Do you know anyone personally that has overcome addiction through meditation?
Do you know anyone personally that has overcome an addiction to meth, heroine, cocaine, cigarettes, or alcohol through meditation? What was the difference in withdrawals and stress levels, compared to someone who is trying to overcome the same addiction using a method other than meditation?
MediTATION not mediCATION. I am not asking for help in overcoming an addiction. I am just curious about how meditation can help when one is trying to overcome an addiction.

I used minimal intake using a vaporizer each week. More medication and fruits, and a good sleep would help.

I used meditation to get over caffeine. It was actually pretty hard to go cold turkey for a week, but I found it to be healthier. As for heavier drugs, I do not think meditation will help unless they were already experienced with meditation. You can’t teach someone in an hour long class and expect them to do it well. The mind needs to be trained not to wander. Is it possible? Yes. Have I known of any specific examples? Nope.
