No. Getting drunk once or twice does not make you an alcoholic. Some people binge drink, usually defined as 4 or more drinks, at least 3 or more times a week. Being an alcoholic is when you drink constantly. And because of your drinking, you don’t do what you should be doing (going to work, going to school, taking care of your family, etc).

I suspect not. and addiction is something you can’t stop it’s a craving that your always trying to satisfy, but you can’t.

it is not the consumption that defines addiction (alcoholism, etc.) but the extent to which you let it control your life, so you’re not an alcoholic.

You can say you are addictive when you feel a need for alcohol everyday,you get drunk even alone and you feel that if you don’t drink at least one you won’t feel better….the same symptoms like drug addiction…… getting drunk only twice a week is not an addiction but you should be careful because some organisms can develop addiction from less than the others…..

If you are an alcoholic,WTF does that make me ? In my younger days I would get plastered every other day,now that im a geriatric I do not get drunk,but I have a drink with my husband when he gets home from work everyday.Maybe I should join A/A.

No, not at all. If you were an alcoholic you wouldn’t have been able to stop, and you would have drank a lot more than twice in your life…… well, unless each of those 2 times you drank lasted years and years nonstop, lol.

Probably not, but if you drink every day even without getting drunk then it could be a sign of alcoholism.
