I have some questions about alcohol addiction?

I have asked before but never got a positive answer. I have been drinking pretty frequently for around 4 months. For around the past 2-3 it has been around 5 days a week. I usually drink between 6 and 12 beers a night and only beer. When i don’t drink I feel much better but fear the withdrawls, should I be worried about withdrawls? If I won’t have severe symptoms I can quit but I am so worried about it after reading up on it.
I also suffer from anxiety and have had some instances that are signaling that it is time to stop drinking..
wow man stopping smoking is something I would like to accomplish one day and quitting meth had to be hell, I just try need to stay out of the “college life” and get on with my studies.
Oh no I have always had terrible anger problems and now everyone just thinks I am completely psycho because of the way I act when I drink. I just become fearless and basically…psycho and I have injured myself many times over the past few months punching things and breaking everything.
Thanks for the information! You all have really eased my anxiety about the whole quitting thing. Websites don’t really specify about how long you have to drink or about the amounts to cause withdrawl. Thanks alot though I feel alot better about it, and now feel I have no reason to avoid it any longer.

I know the feeling. I have anxiety too… I dont think you have drank enough to go through serious withdrawals… but if you carried on for another year or so you probably would.

(You may have difficulty sleeping and some anxiety in the next few days – within a week you should be on the home stretch).

I have psychotic paranoia after a heavy night drinking :( is that what you mean that tells you to stop drinking?

It takes many years of heavy drinking before one becomes physically addicted. After only 5 months you won’t be suffering withdrawals.

“Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel shamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams.
If I didn’t drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, “It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.”
