If you are suffering from an alcohol addiction, you are not alone. Alcoholism is a word that sometimes has negative social connotations, and just because a person drinks alcohol does not mean that they are an alcoholic. The amount of alcohol consumed varies greatly from person to person that develops alcoholism, and is also affected by genetic predisposition, and social and emotional health. Alcohol by definition is a disease that results from a persistent use of alcohol despite negative personal, emotional, financial, and professional consequences. Heavy alcohol use accompanied by dependence and symptoms of withdrawal, and the inability to recognize that every bad thing has been related to an alcohol addiction. The sometimes uncontrollable urge to drink leads to constant preoccupation with the drug.
According to numerous online sources, the most common substance of abuse resulting in dependence in patients presenting for treatment is alcohol. Overcoming an addiction to anything can be difficult, but there is help and hope available to people who want to stop drinking and get their lives back on track. The mind is more powerful than any drug, and to discover this is to truly be on the road to recovery. Addicts have to make a conscious choice to get and stay sober, one day at a time, and learn how to control the cravings. It’s not something that can be done alone, which is why there are treatment facilities all over the country, most of which are privately owned substance abuse recovery centers. The philosophy of AA or Alcoholics Anonymous has proven to be helpful to many alcoholics in their fight against alcohol addiction, and the program is often used as an adjunct treatment with other therapies, such as in an inpatient setting. AA also encourages communication with a sponsor to help guide the addict through the recovery process, and provide support while working through the program.

Alcohol addiction treatment has come a long way over the last several decades. Now that doctors understand the neurological basis of addiction, clinical alcohol addiction treatment centers are able to help thousands of alcoholics achieve lasting sobriety every year.
Unfortunately, a condition called Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome, or PAWS, threatens almost all rehab patients’ recoveries. Question by : Are more and more young or not so young females falling victim to addiction?
It seems to me to be the general trend in modern society.
Some facts for your consideration.
More young female smoke tobacco than young males in Britain.
Though more young males drink, young females have a lower toleration of alcohol and thus risk long term side effects from drinking in excess.
Young females catch STDS more easily.
Young females are catching up on young males with a thing called porn addiction. Like all addictions it can take over the sufferers life and stop them relating to the world properly.
Diabetes and other complications from being obese is a growing problem in the female population as their bodies don’t tolerate excess as well as the male body.
Young women of today are expected NOT to outlive the generation before them simply because of the excesses they are encouraged to indulge in.
Food for thought?
I accept that but being from Britain these young women in the future and now even are going to be a hell of a strain on the NHS.

So people who are looking for any way through which such habits can be curbed then getting admitted to a rehab centre would be the best solution. It is very difficult for an alcoholic to get rid of this habit all by themselves and therefore the need of getting help from an alcohol rehab arises. Alcohol rehabilitation is the first step that an alcoholic should take when he feels that he is in dire need of help. At times the alcoholic himself does not realize the fact that he needs help, in such situations his family members should take a step forward and introduce him to an alcohol rehabilitation centre, so that his treatment can start on time.
If the severity possessed by an alcoholic is quite less, then he can get treated in an alcohol rehab as an outpatient.
