Article by stopdrinkingnowreviews

On a sober day many alcoholics believe that they would be able to give up alcohol without alcohol addiction help, unfortunately when it comes to actually quitting many never succeed. The idea of drinking only during social occasions is a very appealing one however rarely will an alcoholic be able to only drink during social situations. For most alcoholics alcohol is still in control of their thought process and any idea of actually quitting rarely comes to fruition.

Deciding to drink socially might work if the individual has a support network through a rehabilitation service or other alcohol addiction help centers. Unfortunately the reality is that Alcoholism is an addictive disease however it is a disease that can be cured through self determination and will power.

Most alcoholics will agree that the idea of only having the odd drink is nearly impossible.

For a recovering alcoholic the idea of even having an odd drink is enough to make them break out into a sweat. People who have been dry for years can easily fall off the wagon after taking a simple drink; and getting back on to the wagon is more difficult the second time around.

A female friend of mine, who is an alcoholic, managed to get alcohol addiction help once she found out she was pregnant. Everyone was impressed with her will power and she had a beautiful and healthy son. Unfortunately her husband brought out a bottle of champagne to celebrate the special occasion and the one glass was enough to take her back to dependency on alcohol.

While there are thousands of stories out there they all have the same beginning and the same sad ending. Deciding to quit drinking is a difficult decision to make and the decision to stay sober is an ongoing one that requires loads of will power and support.

The stop drinking advice blog is a great place to find others who have gone though what you are and can give advice as well as alcohol addiction help to get you through this difficult time in your life.

Article by Alcoholism Treatment Centre, Alcoholic Rehab Clinic

Alcohol starts with a pint and has the potential to become a vice which can destroy one’s life. There’s an old Chinese saying that goes something like ‘first the man takes a drink, then the drink takes a drink, then the drink takes the man’!

Alcohol can destroy the life of the alcoholic and also their family and friends. The best way to curb the habit is to have the alcoholic admitted to an alcohol rehab centre. Alcohol rehab – how to help your alcohol addicted loved one to recover from addiction is an article aimed at guiding family and friends fo alcoholics towards a place of long term recovery.

Most alcoholics are in denial – this psychological feature of the illness prevents them from seeing the severity and nature of the negative consequences that their drinking causes and may make them unwilling to join an alcohol rehab. It’s important to remember that most alcoholics are forced into rehab and that this has no bearing on whether treatment will be successful or not, the key is to just get them admitted to a quality alcoholism centre.

When alcoholics are forced to go to rehab you can expect them to engage in all sorts of manipulative behaviour in an attempt to not be admitted. They might even try to exert control over their drinking and stop on their own for a short period. Often when alcoholics do this they’re saying to themselves and the world ‘look, I can stop drinking on my own, obviously I don’t’ have an alcohol problem and there’s not need to go to rehab’.

If they can stop on their own, and most importantly STAY STOPPED – then perhaps they’re right. Unfortunately if they alcoholics, in time, they’ll be back to drinking and all the negative results of that drinking will manifest themselves all over again.

Families of alcoholics need to be very careful in handling alcoholics displaying such behaviour. Such individuals start drinking secretly to avoid detection by their families. They will hide the alcohol in cars, garages, drawers, in study table desks and other hard to detect places, even the cistern of the toilet!

Often alcohol addicts feel very guilty and ashamed about their drinking and to overcome it drink even more. Families of such individuals need to identify the tell tale signs and symptoms of alcoholism. A lot of information on the behaviour patterns of alcohol addicts is available on the net. There are some very good websites which provide a list of good alcohol rehab centres.

These sites will help you to distinguish the different symptoms of alcoholism and provide tips on how to curb the habit if in its early stages, or arrange admission to an alcohol rehab if a full blown addiction is in place. Thus the family of such individuals plays an important role in providing access to alcohol rehab for the addicted.

Families often try in vain for many years to cajole, counsel, manipulate and convince the alcoholic to stop drinking or to look at the advantages of joining an alcohol rehab centre. Most times when all else fails it’s up to the family to force the patient into treatment.

For those who are pondering over questions around alcohol rehab and how to help your alcohol addicted loved one to recover we hope this article has shed some light about alcoholism treatment and the crucial role that families play in either enabling the alcoholic to continue drinking or insisting that they get help.

Generally the period of time spent in an alcohol rehab is between 4 weeks and three months. There are shorter programs also available and alcohol rehabs usually take in people of different ages starting from eighteen years old.

Alcohol rehabilitation is split into several phases. Primary Care where detoxification takes place and the peculiar mental twist that enables alcoholics to return to drinking despite the negative consequences is addressed. Secondary Care where underlying emotional issues and dual-diagnosis problems can be more effectively addressed and Tertiary Care where alcoholics can live in a sober environment whilst still receiving slight support.

The time period of the rehab program is usually dependent upon factors like alcohol dependency, psychiatric history and other variables which are worked out by the rehab staff after discussions with patients and their family. The Primary program which usually lasts between 28 and 42 days is known to be one of the most successful rehab programs. The program consists of educational lectures, one on one (individual) addictions counselling, group therapy, yoga etc. These programs create a sense of self awareness, honesty and emotional clarity.

Alcohol detoxification is a tough program as it takes a lot of expertise on the part of the rehab staff to curb the alcohol consuming habit of the addict. Discontinuation of alcohol has severe implications which include heavy sweating, insomnia, vomiting, nausea, hallucinations and other problems. Depending on the severity of the situation and ability of the patient to cope up with the recovery process the duration of the rehab varies. A lot more information on the working of the alcohol rehab as well as the financial variables involved can be found in websites dedicated to alcoholism rehabilitation.

Alcohol addiction does not sound that serious but reality speaks otherwise. People have this misconception that a person who is addicted to alcohol can be made to give it up by removing the alcohol bottles from the house or preventing him from going to a bar. But this addiction did not happen overnight so the cure too can’t happen by adopting the measures mentioned above.

Alcohol addiction needs proper treatment that is only possible in an alcohol rehab. These centers are usually situated away from the city so as to provide a calm and soothing environment for patients to be cured. The main problem is to tackle the source of the problem – which means why the person took to the addiction in the first place. The reasons can vary from family problems, betrayal by partner, or simply a habit with friends that later became an addiction.

An alcohol rehab just does not administer medication but it follows the holistic approach, which is to heal the body, mind, and spirit. That is why they try to analyze the root of the problem and accordingly form a solution. The patient’s mind needs to be put at ease and the craving needs to be controlled. The first few days after the body has been detoxified with the harmful elements being eliminated will be the most challenging as the urge to consume alcohol will impact both the mind and body.

However, with counseling and meditation the person will gradually overcome the urge and learn to live a healthy life. The meditation techniques used in an alcohol rehab have been specially developed to assert a calming influence to the troubled mind. This therapy will be combined with the required medication and thus the addiction can be cured. Rehabs also offer services after the release of a patient to prevent the addiction from relapsing.

If you are looking for an alcohol rehab, Illinois, then you can look up quite a few on the Internet. Visit their web pages to check out the services that they are offering and how much they are charging for the treatment. Always remember that each case is unique and the mode of treatment will vary accordingly, as might the fees. You should ideally call them up and ask to speak to their representative who can provide you with more details about the rehab. Ensure that your loved one gets all the support that he needs to overcome the addiction and lead a happy life!

Question by sara: Struggling With Alcohol Addiction Six Months Pregnant, Please Help?
Please no rude comments. This issue is already really hard on me. After giving birth to my first daughter i got severe post partum depression, and i started drinking heavily. six months after having her i got pregnant again by accident. so now I’m 6 months pregnant. and I’ll admit I know I have a bad drinking problem. I really want to get it under control, to give this baby the best chance to be healthy, and to be a good mother to my children. I know I’m a good mother, just struggling bad with this addiction. I just want to get help, but I have know idea what will really help to cure this addiction. I’ve tried counseling and it doesn’t seem to help. I think that god gave me this baby to help me straighten my life out. It could have even saved my life maybe. my marriage was starting to fall apart with my heavy drinking before I got pregnant with this baby. and ever since being pregnant I have been doing my best to cut down on the alcohol. I went from extremely heavy drinking before I found out I was pregnant, to only having a couple small drinks once a week. like two glasses of wine a week. I have had maybe one or two episodes of binge drinking. but I’m doing good lately. not drinking barely at all. I’ve had an ultra sound recently, and every thing was normal and doing good with baby. My baby is developing well, and my doctor said he didn’t see any signs of fas so far. which is good. I’m happy about that. so there’s a good chance I could have a healthy baby boy. I love my baby, I really do and I don’t want to hurt it. I really want help. I’m scared. every day is a struggle and a battle between me and the alcohol. I have to fight to not touch it. which i’ve been doing good, but i’m so scared that after this baby is born, i may relapse back to my old heavy drinking habits if I don’t seek some major help now. but I don’t know how to get help, or what will really help. It feels impossible for me to break free of this addiction. any one ever deal with anything like this, or know any one who did, any advice or help would be great. and please don’t judge unless you’ve been in my shoes. thanks.

Best answer:

Answer by Kenneth Alexander born 6/5/10 <3
I’m sorry that you’re going through this situation. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to stop drinking but the best thing you can do is to seek psychological help. Because really this whole thing is because something is telling you that you need to drink. My mom was an alcoholic for years and she drank through her pregnancies and thankfully all of us turned out okay but it could’ve been a horrible outcome. She was very lucky! Anyways, she stopped drinking because she overdosed on anti depressants while drunk. And if you had PPD and you have a drinking problem, you need to seek help from a counselor or psychiatrist. It’s very important that you do because you have a baby and you have another one on the way, the last thing you want is to have them involved in your drinking life. Trust me, I had to deal with my moms alcoholism and it was by far the worst childhood, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy!

Article by Vernon DeFlanders

Alcohol addiction is a problem generally identified far too late, nevertheless, as soon as its symtoms are known you must try to get alcohol treatment from an alcohol rehabilitation center immediately, and the same for other drug abuse symptoms in that it can be treated.

Alcohol addiction is among the most widespread and draining psychiatric problems among the total population, and is completely curable if you have a good amount of one-on-one treatment by professionals within the dependancy field that have learned to locate, and heal the hidden issues that are making you use. Alcohol addiction is perhaps one of the most common and yet most debilitating addictions. Because alcohol is legal and widely available, it’s easy for alcoholics to deny a problem, claiming to use alcohol as a social vehicle or as a relaxant at night after a hard day’s work. Alcohol addiction or abuse effects the stability of a home, the family’s unity, mental well being, physical health and entire family dynamic. And therefore, family members character will ultimately unravel until the drug or alcohol addict gets the help and support they will need.

Alcohol addiction can affect anyone and doesn’t discriminate depending on age, background or situations. It robs a person of their health, friends and family, money, career, associates, as well as their everyday life, and be characterized by increased tolerance, causing the abuser to drink larger amounts to get the same desired effect. This menace could be a difficult task be hard to recognize. It bring on neurological concerns including forgetfulness and dementia. Alcohol addiction also has an effect on glutamate and GABA, which effect how communications are transmitted between nerve cells inside the brain. More alcohol that could be dranked, the more a person’s brain begins to imagine that the opiod level is common.

Alcohol addiction could also result in significant health issues primarily brain damage, cancer, heart disease, and liver diseases, and be considered a hazardous preoccupation resulting in serious psychological along with actual physical problems. It increase risk for codependency and economic dependence on men, constraining women from leaving abusive relationships, creating a vicious circle that is difficult to escape.Given that alcohol addiction is regarded as a disease, alcoholics are unable to truly be held liable for the wreckage they leave at their jobs, in their personal lives plus the lifestyles men or women close to them.

Treatment method should make the person observe their conduct effects them and folks in their lives. Treatment method compliance may be the most significant cause of relapses for all chronic illnesses, including asthma, diabetes, hypertension, and addiction. Effective drug rehabilitation that helps you achieve realistic and long lasting sobriety, is the most important thing you’ll ever do. Some battles are too important to leave unfought. Treatment of drug and alcohol dependancy may also come by means of alternative drugs to support the withdrawal elements of drug abuse.

Most rehabilitation facilities includes introduction to 12-step principles, daily group and individual therapy and life skills classes. Rehabilitation services look to preserve growth made in detoxification, while working towards establishing a firm ground upon which future long-term recovery is to be built. Before embarking on a treatment program, you need to look for an alcohol addiction rehab that is an authority on your problem, staffed by experts provides you with the intervention which are needed. Alcohol addiction rehabilitation could be the final option for an individual who will be dealing with alcohol addiction. When meetings and support groups are unsuccessful, sometimes the most effective help someone can get is from a treatment facility.

Withdrawal symptoms can have various complications such as physiological and psychological crisis.

First, the first step out of your bad habit is to admit the fact that you have a bad habit in the first place. Denial is a common stage that an alcoholic needs to overcome. Most alcoholics do not admit they have problems with alcohol or say things like “I’m sure I can go as you please because I have a problem.” Often, this statement is usual that the alcohol could not realize the fact that it has fallen into the addiction. If you’re starting to think that their drinking is taking over you, you have to seek help.

Solve their problems with alcohol have more than having to rely on yourself. Other than that, you are not the only one affected by consumption. Chances are you’re significant others could be affected as well. Because of this, it is important to know that you are not the only one who needs advice. Your family needs guidance and help them cope with the crisis.

Emotional support is very important at this time so it is recommended that alcohol should seek guidance from family, friends and loved ones, along with other support groups like Alcoholics Anonymous. In doing so, you are one step closer to being free of alcohol.

If you or a loved one have not had a victory during the previous attempt to stop the consumption of alcohol, here is a simple step you can take to get out of alcoholism. Many people go to drink several bottles of alcohol because of their inability to control his emotions. This is the main dilemma addicted to alcohol. They believe that alcohol makes them feel better, but that makes the world a better place for them. They believe that everyone in the world is wrong and that is the only one that’s right.

To make this easy for you, I recommend the reading of many motivational books and listen to many motivational speakers. Robert Schuller, Jim Rohn are some of the best speakers worth listening to. When you train yourself to take control of your mood, then plan ahead to stop drinking alcohol everyday onwards.

They also believe that alcohol helps you forget the difficult situation that may be happening. All of these are incorrect. Thus, in his attempt to go down, many things apply. But this letter will tell you about a simple step you can take out of alcoholism.

The simple step that can help you out of any alcohol addict is to take control of your emotions and mood. However, this is easier said than done. It refers to the formation and persistence. After training and the patience of many, to be able to control your mood under any circumstances. If job loss, loss of a loved one, loss of contract, etc, will be able to keep your mood. Inability to do this is what often leads many people into alcoholism.

You have to believe that this is possible. You can meet some people who say it is inconceivable. Do not get me wrong, please. I’m not saying you do not feel bad when such bad things, what I am advocating is that you must take control of your emotions and mood at that time. While we remain in this body, we have to deal with any circumstance that is beyond our control. Instead of resorting to alcohol for comfort, we control our emotions and fighting. Do not give up the battle. You know the adage that quitters never win and winners never quit. Therefore, no solace in alcohol. Take Charge!

Are you ready to ask for alcohol addiction help yet? At a certain point – maybe you’ve hit rock bottom, or maybe you just know it’s time and getting checked into treatment is what you need to do. But all of the alcohol addiction help centers out there aren’t able to adequately meet your needs. This article will tell you what to take a look at while checking in an alcohol addiction help centre.

Now the most significant thing to figure out is whether the rehab center is properly accredited. Generally rehab centers treat all sorts of substence dependencies. But specialty help centers also exist and so do alcohol-specific care facilities. When we are saying staff, it isn’t just doctors and psychiatrists we are talking about. The supporting staff also plays a very vital role in determining the way the final outcome would be. The post detox process is more agonizing and lengthy for the patient and this is where alcohol obsession help center plays a very important role. So while determining whether the alcohol obsession help centre is good or not, try to discover if it has good post detox care facilities or not.

If you’re getting admitted into regime financed alcohol obsession help centre, then you actually do not have much choice, but if it’s a personal one, then try to find out how much it will cost you. Also keep it in mind that alcohol obsession help centres are not covered under medical care insurance, so you need to figure out before hand how much your complete treatment is going to cost.

A psychiatrist plays a particularly vital role in an alcohol obsession help centre. The reason being because, once the detoxification process is over, the patient undergoes a sequence of mood swings and other withdrawal pains. If the psychiatrist is over worked and you are given counseling sessions in groups, better find a better alcohol addiction help centre, where one to one counseling is given by the psychiatrist.

After You Get Alcohol Addiction Help To Dry Out, You Must Still Avoid Relapsing

A stint at an alcohol dependence help centre is successful only if you don’t start drinking again when you get out.

You’ll want to line up some folks who can help you stay away from alcohol when you return from treatment. You want people to spend time with you to help you avoid the temptation to go back to drinking. After you have detoxed, being an alcholic is a lot about habits – you drink at social settings, when you get home from work, or when you hang out at a local watering hole with the guys. To change your drinking habits, you’ll have to avoid a lot of other stuff you used to consider fun. Start going to the gym after work. Meet your friends to watch the game at someone’s house where alcohol is not being served (and they will support you in not drinking there). It will seem different at first, but kicking the drinking habit will be worth it! Soon you’ll develop new friends, hobbies or habit patterns and see that life is stil lots of fun even without alcohol dependency!

So I’ve been dating someone who admits to having an addiction to drugs and alcohol. She used to do heavy drugs, but only smokes weed now. However, that is every day, multiple times a day. She has lost a good job because of this in the past, but still smokes. She used to go to AA and admits to an alcohol problem also, but she still drinks. She got a DUI a year ago and has a breathalyzer in the vehicle, but still attempts to drink and drive at times. She’s almost 30 and still lives with her parents (always has). She has mentioned she has no real interest in getting back into recovery or stopping her behaviors. Actually, I think she’s in complete denial. She freely admits to being addicted, but seems to think that her behaviors don’t impact her life negatively in any way.

It’s just hard because, foolishly I will admit, I decided to give the relationship a shot, even when I knew of these issues very early. We get along well and have fun together, and we have developed strong feelings for each other since we’ve been dating (for about 3 months now). She treats me fairly well, but is admittedly a bit selfish at times which has resulted in a few issues and concerns on my end. She also has a history of cheating and has even told me once (when drunk) that she could never say 100% that she would never cheat again, that “sometimes situations arise” and that “we’re all human”. This is in contradiction to what she says when sober – that she would never cheat again. More and more I’m also seeing the effects of her lifestyle such as her mood swings based on whether she has or has not either drank or smoked.

I knew this probably wasn’t a good match when I met her, but didn’t really listen to my gut. I’ve been thinking I should end this relationship now, before we get even more attached. It’s just very hard because I love her and can see the great person she is inside. Any thoughts or suggestions?

When I was 18 I got my first DUI when I was at the University Of Delaware Campus to visit friends, at that time I was living in Pennsylvania, and I still do! I am now 21 and I have gotten 4 underages since (all in the state of Pennsylvania) and havent had my license for about 2 years and I wont be eligible until 07-24-2011! I have never driven on a suspended license, so I’ve been a good boy, ontop of the fact that I have been clean and sober for 1 year and eight months! I have to live with a lot of things on a daily day basis! I hurt my family, my education, but worst of all, I hurt myself in my addiction, and I am and have been done with drugs and alcohol! I am currently awaiting discharge from a program called drug court, which is the biggest accomplishment in my life to date. The Chester County Drug Court Treatment Staff has been wonderful and I’d like to believe that I have been a wonderful success story in their eyes! There’s just one thing missing, I don’t have my license until late 2011! I talked to PENNDOT and they said no because this is a series of repeat offenses! Is this true? Is there NOTHING that can be done? Can I move after Drug Court? I walk 40 minutes then take two buses just to get to work everyday. Just the one way. I want to go to school so badly, but I can’t because the trip of getting to work and back alone is a shift for the average worker. I’ve gone so long now and I can go longer, but I honestly don’t want to, because I want to be able to go to school and become a dictrict manager for my company! Somebody please give me advice!

I’m really worried about my mother. It used to be that she’s the one constantly worrying about me, but things have changed and now I feel like I’m the mother and she’s the child. The thing is, ever since my dad moved out of the house, she just kept on turning to alcohol. She would drink a lot and eat little, and she seems not to care anymore about what happens to her. When she got fired from her job, I guess that’s when the gravity of her actions finally hit her. When I talked to her, it did seem as if she really wants to get her life back on track. I just want to know how I am going to be able to find an addiction treatment center for her.

Many substance abuse services provide the necessary tools to get over not only an alcohol addiction but any other type of addiction. It does not matter if you use prescriptions or street drugs; the fact is there is help available.

What Do Substance Abuse Services Include?

Twelve-step programs are very popular and have been around since the late 1930s. These programs are designed to help the substance abuser change bad habits and own up to all of his past errors that led him to the addiction. The steps are meant to be followed in a certain order and an addict can take as little or as much time as he need to complete each of the steps. There is no set time limit as long as the addict is actively following the steps.

For all types of abuse, there is a program with similar steps that allow an abuser to get over his addiction whether it is to food, shopping, gambling, or some other thing. With a 12-step program, there is reference to a higher power for the addict to draw strength from. This can be God or any other higher power he believes in and helps him to deal with the addiction in a spiritual manner. Past errors are confronted, dissected, and even resolved during treatment. There is a sponsor who, of course, will help the addict get through his addiction by guiding him through each of the 12 steps.

Substance abuse services may mean using a rehab program, detox, or some other form of assistance to get over an addiction. There are many types of services available and the hardest part may just be choosing the one that is right for you. There are programs that can meet the needs of anyone and all it takes is for the addict to do some research.

The person looking for substance abuse services will have to be able to own up to his behaviors and addiction. If the abuser needs help, there is no better way to find it than to be honest and try to be as detailed about the substance abuse as he possibly can. The more honest an addict is about his needs, the better the fit will be in the program that is recommended. Any program an addict chooses will be the right one for him because it will take care of the needs he has that are most important to him.

One of the largest and most successful drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers in the world.

okay so me and him were like best friends, he told me everything and i told him everything. he’s a couple years older than me but its no biggy. he confided in me about his abusive dad and we talked about out broken families and cutting ourselves. we helped guide eachother to recovery. he stopped my cutting and always comforted me through my depression. i helped him bust his addiction to drugs and alcohol and cutting, and got his dad to stop abusing him so bad. my parents think he’s trouble and didnt ever want me getting involved with him, but we just had a connection ya know? he told me about his past with cheating on girls and how guilty and sorry he was about it. he’s different from other guys and is kind of a loner so people give him a bad rep. he’s the most amazing person i’ve ever met. we could talk forever and thats exactly what we did. one night he told me he’s in love with me and has been for a while but never had the guts to tell me because he didn’t think i liked him like that. we were the happiest couple ever, but never got to see eachother because of my strict parents. i wanted to take the physical stuff slow, because i honestly, am scared of love because of the damage i’ve seen it do in my home and all around me and he knew that i tried to resist love and tried to never get attached emotionaly to anyone and he never pressured me into it, even though i’m still a virgin and he lost his to an ex he didnt love(one of his regrets), but he would always tell me “how bad he wants to kiss me right now” and he’d hold my hand and give me never ending hugs. he knew i was in love with him and he was in love too. everyone knew him as the stud, but with me, he was the perfect prince charming. i could tell him everything. i was the first girl he ever said he loved. he showed me off to his friends even though they and their girlfriends were older and beautiful and more busty, but he just looked at me like i was the most amazing thing ever. i have to admit even though i still to this day resist love, i truly let him in and he still owns a part of my heart. we had to keep our love secret from everyone so my parents wouldnt find out and i’d get in trouble. we only told friends we were omega close to, i told my as i thought “goodfriend” who turned out to be a huge liar and jealous backstabber who had a huge crush on my bf even tho she has one. she promised to keep it secret but then told her bf at the time and he told everyone at the school. before it got to far we decided it might be smart to break up so i won’t get in trouble, we ended the conversation with a big hug and “i love you”. we never saw eachother or talked much after that, which was about three months ago. my bestfriend who is also good friends with him asked him about it, and he said he only likes me as a friend now and thats it. i honestly don’t know how he feels, but i know i’ll always love him, he’s the only human i trust. i saw him the other day at a party and we siad hi and the whole night he was smiling at me and eyeing me out and following me around even though he really never hangs with my crowd. mixed messages!!!! ahhh does anyone know what this means?! i love him sooo much and want him back, but dont want to seem like i’m pressuring him into a relationship he doesn’t want to be in

I’m twenty and she’s nineteen, and she feels like she messed up so bad and a loser, but she can’t break the habits. I’m comforting her, saying that no matter what she does, I’ll always be happy with her and I don’t want to make her feel bad, at all.

But I’m so worried for her, extremely worried. I don’t want her to die!

She won’t talk to her parents about this (she’s worried they have too much stress already), but I was thinking I would anonymously call them anyway and tell them, even though she might be in trouble. I haven’t met her parents.

I posted this in the “Marriage and Divorce” section because I was hoping to get some replies from mature adults. I really don’t know what to do, and I love her so much and I just won’t give up on her. That’s not what a man does…
She DOES want help! She’s been off of it for a while, and now last night she gave in…she feels miserable inside
