Trying to fight alcohol addiction of 25 years, any help?
My father has an alcohol addiction for about 25 years now and decided that its time to call it quits. Alcoohl destroyed his first marriage and now is at risk of loosing another wife and 9-year-old daughter. What should he do to stop completely? Any steps he should take?

Hey could start by getting down on his knees and ask God to help him take one day at a time. Then he should get himself into daily AA meetings until he feels that he can scale back.
Blessings~

Go to AA. He may have to go every day for a while. He HAS to work the steps and stay with the program though. Else he might later feel “oh just this once won’t hurt…”

Alcohol is a drug that can show you the true meaning of existence and enhance your perceptions of everyday things. Your father is probably more deeply in touch with his true self because of his “addiction.” In all honestly, everyone should try and find a way to delve into their true spiritual selves, even if it means resorting to drugs.
