Marijuana is THE safest drug. It is physically impossible to overdose, you need to smoke 900 joints in 30 minutes. That is why there is not one recorded death from marijuana overdose in its 10,000 year history as a drug. It is not addictive or "habit forming", and does not damage memory or intelligence. In fact college students who smoke cannabis demonstrate comparable or even higher grades than their cannabis abstinent classmates, and are more likely to pursue a graduate degree.

Acute effects (while you're high) include euphoria, perception change, sense of well-being. High doses can result in confusion, short-term memory loss, and panic. Remember that's only while you are high it all goes away when you come down.

There has never been a case of cancer, heart disease or emphysema caused by marijuana use. In fact marijuana has been prove to cure cancer. Studies also show that stoned drivers are safer than non-stoned drivers. I have provided sources.

I don't have anything scientific to present to you, as both sides of the argument for and against pot are littered with propaganda and bullshit, however I can give you my personal experience on the matter.

My regimen usually consists of smoking weed everyday over a 2 month period, and then I take a good 6 week break from it altogether. At the end of that 2 month period however, my memory retention is next to nothing. I have a hard time finding words in conversations that normally come easily for me. It is similar to having a conversation with someone when your drag-ass tired and can't focus on what you are trying to say.

However within 3 days to a week of taking a break, I find that my memory and my wit has returned.

Mixing marijuana with other drugs It seems to me increases the effects of the other drug. For instance If I drink alcohol and am slightly buzzed from that, and then start smoking pot, I will notice without even drinking anymore that I would be feeling more drunk than I was prior to smoking.

Mixing pot with mushrooms; same effect, the mushrooms seem more powerful. I've tried this with acid, xanax, ecstasy and cocaine with all the same effect.

Now I don't party like that anymore but it seemed in my circle of friends, that if you wanted to get your drug of choice to take effect.. all you had to do was smoke a little herb and you would feel the effects of your drug within 10 mins.

As far as addiction goes I believe it is for me rather addictive. I have a hard time that first 3 days of my break away from smoking it, I feel rather moody and bored, but it's not unbearable. After that, the fog seems to lift and I enjoy the feelings of having more energy and feeling more healthy and alert.

Weed is in noway lethal, and as far as long term effects go.. there are none. After 6 months of not smoking.. it's as if you've never smoked it at all. Because after all, brain cells DO grow back.

However that is not to say weed is completely harmless. because it can destroy your social life and damage your relationships if you are not careful. When you're high, you tend to be more interested with your own comfort than reaching out to make someone feel appreciated.

Anyway.. that's my experience.
